With over 300 wineries, in twelve regions to choose from, Virginia is fast becoming a wine touring destination place. If you haven’t been, consider a trip soon. You can see the sights, tour historic places, stay in a charming Inn or B&B, and taste some wonderful wine along the way.

Bogati Winery is a cozy little winery in Round Hill, Virginia with a well-appointed tasting room and award-winning Virginia wines. I was pleasantly surprised by the complexity and the variety of wines offered. Rarely would I say that I enjoyed all that our group tasted, both red and white, but in this case, it was true.

Local vineyards offer wine clubs as a way to boost their sales, marketing, and build repeat business. With Bogati’s club, two wine tasting per visit are complementary. The club expectation is that you purchase two bottles six times per year and there is a discount on all purchases. There are also exclusive wines just for club members. This was too good of a deal to pass up, so I joined the club and have already received my first two bottles.

Bogati has just the right blend of great wine at reasonable prices, atmosphere, and service that I hope to find in a winery. I look forward to enjoying another visit to Bogati soon with friends to enjoy more wine, the lovely outdoor seating overlooking a nearby pond, and the light bites menu.

Another nice feature of this wine tasting room is that it is next door to “Mom’s Apple Pie”, which features homemade pies, cookies and treats, and sandwiches. While you are there, peruse the many crafts by local artisans for sale and their large assortment of wines. This is one of two locations for the legendary pie of assorted flavors from creme pies to fruit pies and everything in-between.

Next to Moms on the far end of the building is “More Better” restaurant offering a variety of fresh, delicious options breakfast, lunch and dinner with a German flare. Outdoor seating is available in the authentic beer garden and dogs are welcome.
