Friday night white!

King Maui 2025 Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand

I’m a Chardonnay girl at heart, but when I stray…I love a good tryst with a Sauvignon Blanc!

Give me floral on the nose, no citrus, crisp but not tart, smooth, unexpected flavors shining through, and I’m lost and in ‘like’ on a summer day.

On a trip to Total Wine, thanks to the attentive staff, and my flavor palette description, I recently discovered a Sauvignon Blanc worth cheating over! It’s called King Maui Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand. Apparently the New Zealanders get me. Must book a trip soon!

Picture the scene…a rough hewn deck, rainbow flowers flowing from planters with trailing vines above a stretch of coarse sand, interspersed with cool shadows. A wall of algae covered rock fields an ocean spray, as waves are thrust upon them…full force, wasted…then shredded back to droplets into the sea.

This is what I taste. Try it, you’ll love it! But first set the scene.

Thanks for reading!
